Fox News has reported that a woman from Colorado claims she crashed her SUV after spotting a vampire in the middle of a dirt road, near Fruita, Colorado.
The unnamed woman told Colorado State Troopers she was startled by the undead being, threw her SUV into reverse, and crashed into a canal. She was not injured in the accident.
State Troopers say the woman’s husband arrived at the scene and took her home. The vampire, which was not seen by anyone else, apparently decided against exsanguinating its potential victim and escaped into the night. Troopers do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be factors in the crash and charges are not being pressed.
Vampires are not new to the state of Colorado. There are even some who claim that a vampire rests in the grave of one Mr. Glava in Lafayette, Colorado. Many locals are dubious about the vampiric origins of Mr. Glava, stating that the fact that he hailed from Transylvania was the likely genesis of the rumors surrounding his grave.
